The Local Train trio recently put out ‘Tu Hai Kahaan’ with veteran pop voice Lucky Ali
With the electrifying release of “Tu Hai Kahaan” by rock sensation The Local Train, featuring the legendary voice of Lucky Ali, the band has roared back into the spotlight after a hiatus that saw the departure of their iconic vocalist-guitarist Raman Negi.
Originally composed around 2022, the track has found its home in the soundtrack of the newly-released film “Do Aur Do Pyaar.” Despite the band’s absence from headlines, bassist Ramit Mehra, guitarist Paras Thakur, and drummer Sahil Sarin assured Rolling Stone India that the heart of The Local Train never stopped beating. “From the outside, it might have seemed like radio silence, but internally, we were always at work. We never debated whether to continue. We just needed a fresh perspective,” Thakur shared during a Zoom call.
Even as Thakur retreated to a serene apple orchard on a mountainside in North India and Mehra and Sarin returned to Chandigarh, the trio remained closely knit. They engaged in regular listening sessions and brainstorming meetings, crafting new song ideas. “We were never about releasing something just to stay in the game,” Thakur emphasized. The opportunity to contribute to “Do Aur Do Pyaar” came at the perfect moment, acting as the spark that reignited their creative drive after a period of deep reflection and realignment.
This romantic drama, featuring stars like Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, produced by Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment, with its soundtrack released by Panorama Music, has become the perfect stage for The Local Train’s triumphant return.
